New facility Enhances Customer Service and Attracts New Talent
Atria Networks has opened a second Network Operations Centre (NOC) at their expanded office premises in Markham, ON.
The new facility works with the company’s existing NOC in Ottawa and provides customers with enhanced network monitoring and technical support services.
“The new facility will enhance customer service by allowing us to respond to customer calls even faster,” said Atria’s President Ian Collins. “In addition, our live call answer service ensures that our customers speak to one of our technicians immediately.”
The completion of the Markham NOC provides improved monitoring of customer networks with a carrier-grade level of redundancy. Seamless failover between both locations ensures that Atria technicians can continue monitoring the health of our customers’ networks from either location, without disruption or customer impact.
Both locations feature redundant UPS and generator power, as well as redundant network connectivity. Alerts produced by the monitoring systems are examined in real-time and are seen in both locations simultaneously, so appropriate actions can be taken immediately to ensure optimal operation of our customers’ networks.
“Our new centre is designed with business continuity in mind,” said Director of Customer Assurance Bogdan Kowalczyk. “We are truly prepared for any events that may happen.”
Placing the second NOC in the Greater Toronto Area provides Atria with two major advantages; firstly we obtain key geographic redundancy for Disaster Planning purposes and secondly, it opens up an additional pool of talent to compliment our existing skilled support staff in Ottawa.
“That helps us complete the team of our dreams,” Kowalczyk added. “The depth and talent of our Level 1 and 2 technicians provide the expertise to solve problems immediately and accurately. It makes us more responsive, more flexible, and enables us to better serve our customers.”
In addition to its NOC facilities, Atria operates eight corporate offices throughout Ontario. Atria Networks delivers premium business data services across the province over its redundant fibre-optic network. For more information, please visit http://www.atrianetworks.com.
