Atria Networks LP has appointed Toronto-based The Communications Group Inc. (TCG) as its PR consultants of record.
Atria Networks owns and operates one of Ontario’s largest fibre-optic networks, connecting communities from Ottawa to south western Ontario.
As Atria Networks’s PR counsel, TCG will work with the company’s Marketing team to promote its corporate position and comprehensive range of services.
“Atria Network’s vision is to deliver customer communications solutions and service, faster and better than our competition,” said CEO Steve McCartney. “We can achieve that vision because our clients’ data travels entirely over our high-speed fibre-optic backbone. The Company offers the most reliable high-speed broadband services for Business Internet Access, Data Network Connectivity and IT Security/Continuity solutions.”
Added Atria’s Marketing Executive Michael Stephens, “We’ve retained TCG, because they have the telecommunications industry PR experience to help us communicate and achieve our vision.”
The Company was established in 2005 by the merger of FibreTech Telecommunications which was jointly-owned by three Waterloo Region hydro utilities and Guelph FibreWired owned by Guelph Hydro. “The Company’s name derives from a core belief in the power of community connection,” added McCartney. “The Latin word Atria (plural for atrium) describes an open central court in a home or building. Atria, our public meeting place, is usually full of space and light.”
Said McCartney, “This positive association aligns perfectly with the Company’s vision to bring communities together, to nurture improved business and community relationships using broadband technology.”
